When you were created, as God spoke your name,
he reached in the sun, and he harnessed some flames.
He stretched, and he molded and shaped every flare,
combing, designing, and teasing your hair.
He looked to the night in the darkest of skies,
for the brightest of stars he could shrink in your eyes.
Then, high on a mountain alone on the peak,
he saw a lost rose that would color your cheeks.
He knows we're not perfect and each must have flaws,
so he reached for a grizzly and gave you some claws.
You need motherly instinct when you have to fight,
so he looked for the tiger to give you that bite.
Strong as a diamond, yet soft as a shawl,
he gave you the tears from a great waterfall.
He searched for a heart that is worthy of you,
but none were so strong, so he made yours brand new.
He wanted you always to sing and rejoice,
so he called on his Angels to give you a voice.
The final thing missing, you needed a soul,
so he turned to Alaska for that great northern glow.
He knew you'd have self-doubt and anxiety,
and that my dear friend is why he brought you to me.
You're perfect to him, and you should always know,
your life is exactly where he wants it to go.
