Madness

Living in madness when madness is life,

the cause and effect from our heartache and strife.

Why so much violence from anger and hate?

Our world brings much pain and unbearable weight.

The bills and the chaos, corruption, and greed,

bring homeless, then helpless, then addicts and thieves.

Why is that hatred so random and blind,

a flash and it's there, then it won't leave your mind.

How can we fix this, oh what must we do?

Are we locked in a future disheartened and blue?

The answer is kindness, the key is our words.

The lessons we teach can be felt, not just heard.

The children, our future, that's really the key.

The major solution to changes we need.

So teach them compassion, let empathy shine.

Train honor and valor, strong body and mind.

These lessons in life help them battle the sadness,

to stand against anger, the hate, and that madness.
